Transform Student Retention and University Outcomes

Complex Challenges Call for Bold Solutions

High dropout rates are a significant challenge for colleges and universities, directly impacting both student outcomes and institutional finances. Research shows that untreated mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, and stress, contribute to 30% of student dropouts. These challenges not only disrupt students' educational journeys but also result in substantial financial losses for institutions.

By investing in evidence-based mental health solutions, colleges and universities can:

  • Improve retention rates.

  • Recover lost tuition revenue.

  • Foster a healthier, more supportive campus environment.

At 4C, we know this is easier said than done. traditional services—overburdened, episodic, and limited in reach—can’t meet the growing need. That’s why we’ve adopted a bold, community-led solution.

4C Mental Health was founded by Lara Gregorio, LCSW, a clinical social worker, educator, and systems strategist with over 20 years of experience in mental health innovation. Lara has worked at the intersection of clinical care, public health, and community empowerment—designing programs for hospitals, nonprofits, and global NGOs.

A longtime advocate for peer-led models and social recovery, Lara created 4C to bridge the gap between traditional mental health services and the real-world support people need to thrive. Her vision: a global community where everyone has the skills to care for themselves and each other—because mental health doesn't begin in a clinic, and healing is often powered by connection.

Who We Are

There are many peer training programs. But 4C goes further.

  • Evidence-based and trauma-informed, built by clinicians, tested globally

  • Holistic training—not just referral scripts, but tools to build resilience, regulate emotions, and respond with care

  • Designed for scale and sustainability, with asynchronous learning and optional live engagement

  • Rooted in purpose—empowering students as changemakers, not just passive participants. Allows for mutual healing and sustained well-being

  • Continuity of care, not a one-time training—our programs create cultures of ongoing support

  • Backed by real-world success—used by schools, NGOs, and peer networks across continents

We’re not just teaching peer support—we’re building the future of mental health, from within communities, with and for them.
